7 minutes
A really lively opening to the fixture, Chile broke the Irish circle inside 20 seconds and it was a scrambled clearance to save the day. A similar scenario from Chile's first corner with Bridget Cleland, on her hands and knees, finally making the tackle. Lizzie Colvin played in Emma Smyth but she miscued her shot from the right edge of the circle before Michelle Harvey makes a great interception on halfway to prelude a corner win. Harvey pushes it herself but Claudia Schuller saves comfortable. Lively stuff but still 0-0
